Growing PE owned client, headquartered near Pine Brook NJ, is looking to hire a Collection Specialist. They have mostly Fortune 500 clients and this role will require the Collection Specialist to be able to strike a balance between maintaining trustful relationships and ensuring timely payments. The Collection Specialist should exhibit professionalism, trustworthiness, have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as an ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
• Investigate historical data for each debt or bill
• Contact clients to discuss outstanding payments
• Take actions to encourage timely payments
• Process payments and refunds
• Resolve billing and customer credit issues
• Update account status records and collection efforts
• Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status

  Skills

• Proven experience as a Collection Specialist with Fortune 500 accounts
• Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
• Familiarity with laws related to debt collection
• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
