Accounting Manager:
Position Overview:
- Location: Pine Brook NJ ON SITE
- Salary $75-100k
- Benefits/Vacation/Sick Time
- Oversee all financial, accounting, and human resources activities
- Responsible for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting
- Reports into the CFO
- Must be hands on

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (Duties include but are not limited to)
- Track company financial performance based on key metrics.
- Compile financial reports as required; manage and drive the monthly reporting and close process.
- Assist in the development of forecasts, proforma statements, and cashflow analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
- Ensure accounts receivable and accounts payable (electronic and check payments) are tracked and reported; entry and processing of all related financial transactions (internal and client). Balance check book each month.
- Prepare and issue client invoices.
- Ensure reconciliation between financial and project tracking applications.
- Ensure applicable state and federal taxes are paid in accordance with legal requirements.
- Interact with internal management team and external accounting, legal, and insurance firms.
- Manage all year-end transaction and reporting processes, including W9, W2, and 1099’s.
- Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel; hourly, salary, bonuses, and commissions.
- Monitor the annual performance review and salary adjustment process.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Education, Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and experience working in a small, growing, entrepreneurial business environment (a consulting firm a plus).
- Must be able to work on multiple tasks and be flexible to adjust to a changing work environment and client demands.
- Must be operations oriented, able to work collaboratively with each department as well as the management team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
- Experience with an accounting software is required, familiarity with QuickBooks a plus.
- Experience with Professional Services Automation (PSA) software to track and report project and consulting time is a plus.
- Experience with outside payroll processing services a plus.
